Are you a great writer? An amazing story-teller? A budding photographer? A future movie maker? Are you in on the latest sip sip? (that’s short for gossip, if you didn’t know)
If so, we’d love to hear from you because we’re looking for a few Fall/Winter JOON Girls to work with us this summer. Think of it as the best summer job EVER! You’ll learn tons (from us and about yourself), work with some pretty cool people, create amazing things and, most of all, have a BLAST! Click To Apply (Deadline September 15)
So, here’s the scoop:
- You have to be between the ages of 7 – 13.
- You have to have some pretty good skills – like writing, photography, videography (big word meaning you’re really into making your own videos and even better if you’re good at editing!)
- You have to be pretty responsible. This is a job, after all!
The JOON Fall/Winter JOB begins…in JOON! Over the next two weeks, we’re going to select six girls to work with us.
Writer (2):
We’re going to 'hire' two girls to write for www.joongirl.com. Every Monday we’ll give you a topic and every Friday, you’ll submit your work of literary art! Or, feel free to give us your ideas of what you’re interested in writing about. If you get stuck along the way, don’t worry. Someone from JOON will help you out. The JOON Team will edit your work (for spelling and grammar only – NOT content, so don’t worry!) and post on the JOONGIRL site.
Photographer (2):
Just like the writers, we’ll give our Fall/Winter Paparazzi topics each week to capture. No need to write a story about your photos…just a creative sentence or two about what you’ve photographed.
Videographer (2)
If you’re a budding movie-maker, this summer will be the time of your life. We’re looking for two super-skilled kids to spend the summer making a video on a topic that the JOON team comes up with.
Time commitment
You’ll probably be spending about 1 - 2 hours each week for 3 months. We promise it’s going to be loads of fun.
Though this job is unpaid, you’ll get some pretty cool stuff for working @ JOON.
If you’re hired, you’ll receive a package of JOON products on your start date. If, at any time during the summer you run out of anything, just let us know and we’ll send you more JOON products on us!
At the end of the summer, each JOON Girl will receive an amazingly spectacular gift for all your hard work.
Writers: Send a writing sample to info@itsjoon.com. In the subject line, please include: JOBS @ JOON – WRITER. Your submission must be an original work created by you and only you. In your e-mail, please include your name, age, and a valid e-mail address for your parent. (yes, parents have to approve your participation!)
Photographers: Send samples of photographs that YOU have taken to info@itsjoon.com. (not photos OF you!) Please send photos in JPG format. Along with each photo, please include a short caption describing each photo – be creative with your writing! In the subject line, please include: JOBS @ JOON – PHOTOGRAPHER. In your e-mail, please include your name, age, and a valid e-mail address for your parent.
Videographers: Please send an edited video that you have created to info@itsjoon.com. Video must be no longer than 2 minutes in length. Please send a link to your video in Quicktime format. In the subject line, please include: JOBS @ JOON – VIDEO. In your e-mail, please include your name, age, and a valid e-mail address for your parent.
Once we select our FALL/WINTER TEAM, we will either meet with the team in person or via phone (depending on where you live) and provide you with the details of your first assignment.
